rust removal - small parts

Suggested by 1970triumphgt6

I keep old redneck tupperware (Coolwhip containers) to soak small steel parts in rust remover. I use white vinegar and let the parts soak for 2-3 days and then a scrubbie will easily clean the residual dirt and rust off. Be sure to degrease the parts first. The vinegar is a reasonably environmentally friendly rust remover and quite effective.

Try using Coke, it may work faster. Soak it and then later scrub it with an abrasive pad.
