Stig’s First Road-Trip Aug 30, 2008
Kim, Stig and I just drove up to VIR for a test-day for an upcoming Classic Motorsports cover story. While the day was rained out, we did manage to get the story done and we even took the Xterra out on VIR for a few laps. There were rivers flowing through the esses and hogpen, but we still had fun with Stig strapped into his car seat in the back. You could call that Stig’s first lapping session!
Having a baby along for a roadtrip is an exercise in patience and I’m not a patient man. But, we managed to get there with minimal hassle—what is normally a 10 hour trip took just 12, but we had fun along the way. For a three-week old baby, Stig travels quite well. That makes sense though, as the name Stig means journeyer or wanderer.
