View all Brett Melancon's Fiat X1/9 (Euro model)
This is a 1981 X1/9 that was imported from England on-board the QE2 back in the 80s. It is RHD and has been completely tuned to my personal taste. I have owned this car since 1988 have enjoyed every single mile driven. It still brings a smile to my face. You can see more pics at http://gallery.italiancarclub.com/124og/Bretts_album/

- Brett, when are you going to upload your pic?

- I know this car. Perhaps the most awesome X1/9 this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Every square centimeter of this machine is spectacular in every way.

- Beautiful, unusual car, but one that is used and enjoyed

- Ya it's a nice ride…and I'm told it's about to get even nicer ;)

- One of the finest Fiats in the US. Just freaks me out when I see him driving from the passenger side. The only negative I see is that I have not been offered a turn behind the wheel. Love the car and its owner!

- Great car. Great modifications. Great wheels. And, while the car is nice it is nothing compared to the owner. Without question one of the nicest guys I have met.

- Really a great X. I got to see it close up at the 2005 FFO. Just beautiful.

- The car is THE nicest one I've ever seen. I've owned 4 of them myself and this one is truly one of the best if not THE best. Very well matched to the owner indeed because Brett is first class in every way. - John Slagel

- Thanks for all of the support. I love cars, all cars! I do, however, have a special soft spot for the Italian underdogs.

- Nice X Brett, Happy miles with more smiles per gallon than most.

- Thanks. Even with the twin Webers, I still get over 30mpg on the hwy.

- One of the best looking X19's I've seen. And the steering wheel is on the right side! I love the look of the early euro style bumpers on these cars.

- Stunning X. I have owned 7 of these, but not one can compare to Bretts. It is a true showpiece…and it gets driven! Not a trailer queen. The X is way under valued and under appreciated. I have owned several British and Italian marques…not one other car in the small sports car genre is as capable, with the only exception being the new Lotus. Thomas Boczan

- I love my ride… but I've never seen another with this color combo and it stops me cold whenever I see it. Congrats Brett!
