View all Luke's Alfa Romeo Alfetta sedan
1981 model, daily driven hack with a hopped up 2.0l twin-cam & koni (yellow) shocks as the only major modifications.
Interesting features unique to this model of Alfa (and other 116 series) include: De Dion rear axle & 50/50 weight distribution thanks to a rear mounted gearbox. The trade-off is a horribly long and vague shifter linkage.

- I've got one of this car's younger, bigger brothers - a Milano Verde. Awesome handling car. I didn't know they made these Alfettas as late as 1981.

- I think in the USA it was only sold until 1979. Elsewhere, however, it was available until 1985. (I'm in Australia.)

- Too bad more car folks don't appreciate this Alfa as it is one of the better ones. Yes, the Alfetta GT version had a more distinctive body (later became the GTV-6), but they are far more similar than different. Again, it seems like US car folks just don't like or understand passion filled Italian cars like this.
