Flooding carbs... Fixed
Apr 24, 2011 update on vangoughv's 1970 Triumph GT6+ (Daisy)
When I brought Daisy out of hiding a couple weeks ago I had a real problem with the rear carb flooding and had some issues last fall but I think it was the forward carb. Anyway, today I had a couple hours to spare and pulled the fuel bowls off both carbs and sure enough there was debris in both. I wasn’t too surprised since the fuel filter had to be changed last summer as it looked to be having problems and wasnt’ doing it’s job… While I was at it I set the float levels to about 7/8”. Took her for a couple nice long cruises today and had not trouble, she still revs to 5000 nicely :)
