Plans for vintage racing are underway. My 12 year old son and I moved the car into the garage and have begun the process of turning a rally car into a race car.
There are 10 weeks until the race school and 2 weeks more before the first race at Shannonville.
At this point, it looks as though we will replace the 2.0 litre four cylinder with the original 2.6 litre V6 motor.
The rest of the car will likely be very close to stock. I plan to install a thicker front sway bar, better brake pads and larger carb. It is probably best to keep things simple to start with and concentrate on the learning curve first.
