Hold That Tiger!
Jun 17, 2010 update to the Sunbeam Tiger project car
In between other projects, we found a day to upgrade our Sunbeam Tiger with a new Wilwood brake kit. The kit makes a major difference in how well our car stops. Our friends at Wilwood prototyped this kit for us from Sunbeam components we sent them, not a whole car. We were impressed with how everything fit so well— we had no clearance issues.

- Thank you for the great articles on restoring your Sunbeam Tiger. I have an early 67 tiger vin# 382001923 that i'm restoring and your information is a great help. Two questions I have. Why not use the Wilwood disk brakes on the back also? Many of us would upgrade the rears also even if it was to just get that great look of disks all around. My second question is the five speed transmission seems perfect for the car but since there are also six speeds available was there any research done for any that might fit?
