Day Three in the Tiger
Oct 9, 2008 update to the Sunbeam Tiger project car
Today’s journey started in Bowling Green, Kentucky, with a stop at the National Corvette Museum. If you’ve never been to this museum, it’s worth a stop, especially if you have more than a passing interest in Corvettes.
From there, we drove south and west through beautiful farm country with fast, rolling hills, and into the Land Between the Lakes national recreation area. We ended up near Paducah at the Kentucky Dam Village state resort park.
We had a little rain early on—thankfully, while we were in the museum—but then the skies cleared and we had a beautiful day. The Tiger ran fast and hard today with no problems and felt perfect at 70-80 mph on these fantastic back roads.
