Triumph TR3: Weight Issues Aug 6, 2001
With all the modifications we made before the Mid-Ohio race, we were curious to see how much the Triumph weighed. To our surprise, our car only weighs 1967 pounds with no driver.
The weight distributions: LF RF LR RR 553 507 433 475
- Front, 1060 = 53.8%
- Rear, 907 = 46.1%
- Cross LR-RF, 940 = 47.7%
While very light, we would still like to get a little more weight off the front end. We are playing around with alloy front hubs and might even look into an aluminum radiator in the future.
