    Wow,

Right in the middle of all this discussion about brands and nationalities of motor vehicles, I just noticed that Morgan is providing a new Harley, oops Mazda, oops Moog for our consideration.

So does this Three-Wheeler have wood? Is it made on old tooling? Can a true British ride have an American engine and/or a Japanese transmission?

Finally, in which country was the pub whose napkin was used for this design? And to which of the three countries does it owe its' existence?

BTW: Looking at the Topic Tags I considered this topic to qualify for All British, All American, & All Japanese. Or perhaps, none of the above. However I didn't find a tag for All Japanese listed. Considering all the motor vehicles coming out of Japan I would think an All Japanese tag is relevant.

Well, Thank goodness they didnt use a Hardly Ableson lump...Morgan chose an S&S engine. and a Mazda G/B. No wood I belive, and no old tooling. The car is totally brand new...Sort of. The orginal car(not the Morgan) was based on a kit made out west by Ace cyclecar. The Morgan clan like it so much they bought the rights from Ace. So what you got is a reproduction of a kit copied from the orginal...I belive its call "Coming full circle". LOL

Morgan has never made thier own drive train. Mine is a Ford, and the "big" engine was a Triumph Vangaurd with a Moss 4 SP G/B. The new Trads still have use Ford and BMW drivetrains.

    Leo,

We've been sparring way too long on these sites to not meet! Please come to the Mitty! I can't imagine how much fun it would be for an old Doggie chopper driver and an old Jar Head chopper driver to spend time with each other!

    OK Folks:

I finally came across a picture of this Anglo, American, Nipponese ride. Now I'll try to insert it.

Thanks to Andy Reid you're seeing the trike!

Being old, I 'm close to being a computer illiterate and struggled to get the above picture up. Finally, in frustration I e-mailed it to Andy and here it is.

Well, it was Andy or someone at least as handsome.

    Glad it worked out.

I tried drag racing, but kept blowing the apex for turn 2...

I agree Leo, it looks like a blast but I can't see even $30K of content there.

    Tom,

    Thanks for your help!

I saw a pic of the naked frame and floor panels...One could understand such a high cost if there was skilled labor in the manufacture of the car, like the Classic Morgans with an extensive use of wood, and wood craftsman...but it is a simple tube frame with some alloy panels pulled over it. ARGHH! I would really love to be the first owner of a sports car, but seriously! 40 someodd thousand bucks!
