  Went to visit my in-law's family farm over the holiday. Hoooo-leeee smokes what a pile of cool old cars rotting away. I didn't get many pics due to family stuff but I did look around. I was told I have pretty much whatever I want. This is not good...not good at ALL. There is a SWEET '64 Pontiac that I may try to get.

  

  1953 Chevy. For this one I'm thinking of just cutting off the floor and dropping it on a Caprice pan. Wheelbase is within 1" of a '96 Caprice, front/rear width will take a little massaging. Inspiration: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/forty-niner/

  Spent a good part of the day touring the farm in an old YJ. Loved it.

  My father-in-law owned this tractor at his farm. Here he is showing my son Ian how it works:

  Ian kept saying "start it, Grandy, start it". That's my boy!

  My wife's cousin has a pulling truck. Chevy pickup 4WD with a 540 Merlin BB running alcohol. That's my brother-in-law checking it out.

  I may have to go rescue this little tractor. Anyone know what it is?

  My son Ian wanted to climb on every piece of machinery.

  4 hours south... All-binny, Dosta, or over by the swamp? Reminds me of visiting my Uncle's place in Fitzgerald back in the day. He was into the dirt track dune buggy circuit in the 70's and there were still some chassis in the barn when I was young. Don't know where they ended up the the bank tried to take the farm.

  Presence of an earlier Farmall, plus tiny amounts of remaining yellow paint- maybe an early Cub Cadet? Beyond that, rusty.

  Just this afternoon I finished up the snow blower installation on my own H Farmall, which was made much more difficult by my insistence it go on the front.

  And the yellow on the smaller one tends to indicate Cub Cadet or AC/Simplicity.

  Full-size 4-door. Supposedly the only thing sitting back there that still has the engine. I had a '64 just like it years ago and regretted selling it. This one was grandma's car apparently. No idea why it got shoved to the back of the pasture.

  Back in the mid '90s had a running completely original, one owner before me, '64 Newport that I literally could not give away. It ended up going to the crusher. I am still a little sad about that.

  Nobody wants them because they're a poor mans New Yorker. Which is a shame, it's not like they're bad cars because of it.

  We had a 67, and my Dad had a 63 convertible before I was born.

  Cool finds. What part of GA? There's a bug rusting away in my in laws' chickenhouse. I should probably rescue it before it gets scrapped.

  The family farm is down near Hazelhurst. Three generations work it now. Very cool to visit. WAY too many mechanical things for me to stick my nose in. Every barn was like a treasure chest of coolness. I'm thinking this January or February I will go back down there and catalog what cars are sitting around.
