Early morning, late fall, no traffic, and a front bumper cam:

    http://www.streetfire.net/video/morning-run-1182009-1avi_718416.htm

Nary a double-yellow crossed, minimal tire squealing, one real error and no heroics.

    Nice run!

Very nice. What car was used in the making of this video? Really makes me want to go check out the Dragon for myself.

Better to be a racer for a moment than spectator for a life time.

    I love the Harley lemmings.

You know you are deep in boost territory when you get tire pressures and boost pressures confused

I've found that late at night with some massive Hella 3000 lights works pretty well too.

If you like that kind of roads, I suggest a trip to Puerto Rico, and drive the middle of the island. Much, much curvier.

I read somewhere that Harley guy got killed in the fall. Don't know if that's true or not.

This one makes me cringe everytime. Horrific crash at 1:42. Watch the intro to get a feel for their riding style.

Deal's Gap raid with crash at 1:42.

    In reply to Xceler8x:

there was a lot closer call earlier in the clip where they're peeking out to pass a car and a car and a couple bikes are coming the other way.

There is a reason that road has a double yellow line. I've been there with the MINI group a few times and every time some idiot balls up a car.

This. The only danger in doing this is the bears...

Very similar to the road from Port of Spain Trinidad to Maracas Bay. Just as many guardrails, too.

Do they ever hold "hillclimbs" there?

I never got a chance to go out there when I still had my R6.

If you do it in a four door car with back seat passengers they will usually hurl chunks from all the curves < Don;t ask how I know

Sounds like a BMW 6 cylinder to me, but the brief shadow you can see as he makes a turn somewhere in the middle doesn't look very Bimmerish.

I pulled the vid off the Pelican Parts forum, so there's a better than even chance it's a Porsche of some type. IIRC, the guy who posted it has an '85 911 listed in his profile.

if you look at the guy who posted it profile it is a 911. too rough and bassy to be a beemer 6.

I'm sick of you men telling us that women are bad drivers. How many of you can do 90mph in the fast lane of a motorway whilst putting on mascara?

Not on "the dragon" itself, but yes. First one was just a few weeks ago.

When he first sets off it has the distinctive sound of a 911. I agree, this guy does it right. It is possible (and quite frankly, more challenging) to run the Dragon while staying within your lane and not risking hitting a motorcyclist coming the other way. I've run this road several times, including at night. With decent lighting driving it at night is way cool.

Moved to the fastest run group so I can drive "flat out"

With a single headlight on a motorcycle, it's downright intense!

    Spot on, KATYB.

Here's a pic of his car: Needs less whaletail and more ducktail, but still a very nice and well-driven ride.

    ShutupShutupShutupShutupShutupShutupShutupShutupShutupShutup all of you.

Stop making me want to go there so badly! I don't have a single carry worthy of such a road but dammit if I'm not looking for the shortest route there.

Ok, Here is a good reason not to go there:

    Good people get killed there.
