    Congrats, that's awesome!!

I'm hoping that somehow I'll be able to afford a 2013 Boss (with the '70-style stripes) when they come out.

Black stripes on either yellow, grabber orange, or grabber blue.

Review is on auto123 (written at 1 am that night, yawn, ain't winning no Pulitzer for that one!), the car companies issue the invitations with expenses paid and the publications send a writer, yes I travelled with Jim Kenzie - we missed our connecting flight and rented a Mercury Grand Marquis , No Baruth didn't hit on me, I think I scared him, I don't know Rob Kinnan. Oh and John Philips was there. I love John Philips - his writing makes me laugh til I snort.

The car was everything they hyped it up to be, really impressive handling.

Did they give you the Red Key for it?

I walked most of the track a few years back and I thought THAT was awesome. You bucket list is shorter now, and mine just grew by one.

You know you are deep in boost territory when you get tire pressures and boost pressures confused

I just finished reading autoblog's driving impressions from the event. I got to the end of the article and wanted to yell HooRah! It's awesome to see Ford back in the game and kicking ass.

Well, that would be my third choice. What I want is black stripes on yellow or grabber orange:

The first one we drove was Grabber orange, then took out the black Laguna Seca for some fun in the hills.

Conquest351 - yes, we got to try the red key. Pretty cool, it's like having a standalone for track days... all in a key. Completely changed the engine note, added a very lumpy cam and aggressive acceleration and deceleration. Holy cow, that thing handles well - I had a hot lap with Rolex Daytona winner Johnathan Bomarito, he's a wonderful smooth driver and the car was just in the zone. I felt pretty comfortable out there by myself (having driven it all over the coastline earlier) but wish I'd known the track better. There's a tricky hairpin, a scary dip... and that corkscrew induced some serious pucker factor.
