I've been a big fan of Peter Norton and the magic of Norton Utilities since way back in the (pre) 286 days, so I've been using Norton Online Backup. Recently we haven't been getting along so well and I am looking for another service. Anyone using something that they like?

Spideroak is nice, and very security focused.

With all of the legal, privacy and going out of business issues - I'd not trust "the cloud" one bit.
You can buy a 6 g/s SATA3 external enclosure, 2 3TB drives and a RAID controller for less than google will charge you to store 1TB for a year.

I do it myself and keep two copies offsite in two different locations (my office and my wife's office) and just rotate through them every couple weeks. If the house burns down, I won't lose much data. Most of my "in progress" work is kept on Dropbox or sync'd with Apple's iCloud anyway.
Software-wise, I use time machine, so I've got hourly/daily/weekly snapshots of everything, which is super nice. You can do the same sort of thing in Windows, I'm sure. Security isn't a concern, since all the disks are fully encrypted with passwords thatarethislongandmorecomplicated.

Our company offers this service. We're not as cheap as Carbonite, but feel free to PM me if you're interested.
