Took my two boys (8 & 11) to OVRP for some laps. The place was empty so they had the track to themselves.

They ran thru a 5g jug of fuel - they both just kept going and going until I had to call them in because I was getting sore and tired just watching.

The track is great, the people there are friendly, helpful and very good with the kids. They even let me pick thru the used tire pile for some good rubber. Awesome.

We are going back Saturday for some wheel-to-wheel action.

I bet watching your flesh and blood use the whole width of the track to attack the apex makes for one proud papa! Thats awesome! Congrats

went with a bunch of my cousins to a kart track in Cokato, MN- http://www.stockholmkartingcenter.com/ - and had a blast on the rental karts. my 240 pounds was a bit much for the machines- i couldn't turn or accelerate like some of my cousins that have about 80 pounds less mass, but still had fun..

my cousin's 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter got to try to put some of their motocross racing skills to use in the rental karts, and they loved it...

Sweet! I've often said that the toughest thing about this sport is that you can't practice it in the backyard with dad, like you can in stickanball sports..good on ya sir, for taking `em karting!

How can it be a midlife crisis, when I've driven sportscars my entire life?
