I switched to Google Chrome on the semi hurt ancient MPC Clientpro that was sitting on the desk... what a difference in browser speed even when comparing to FF.

    Who else is running Chrome?

I agree Chrome is FAST, but I stick with FF as I use a variety of plugins that aren't available on Chrome

i've dabbled in chrome... but i've been using FF for so long... at work I use it specifically because of some of the plugins...

What plug ins for FF do you like so much?
What are some of the "can not live without" plug ins that I should be looking into?

I use chrome for 99.99% of all browsing I do, and Firefox when chrome won't work. But in the past year, Chrome has been getting better and better. Almost nothing doesn't wokr.

Like I've said, no Adblock, not using it. For shame, the times I've used Chrome I've been impressed.

ad block and tab kit (the last one specifically at work where i'm using a number of tools all at once) are my 2 big ones.

it's kinda like the final killing point for IE back in the day, I went to opera back in the late 90's, the tabs where HUGE for me back then... it was also much faster then IE or netscape even with dial up (we're talking over 10 years ago)

also hate having to re setup my favs and such :)

I just got a new VAIO 3 weeks ago and was surprised that it came pre-loaded with Chrome on it. I didn't think that major manufacturers would give it a chance since it's a huge IE competitor.

Maybe I"ll give chrome another chance. I tried it about a year or so ago and it would stumble on sites enough to make me go back to FF. I'm on FF now and don't really find any of the plug-ins great enough to keep me. Maybe I'll give d'load it tomorrow.

This would be the perfect reason to switch to chrome. You have an address bar, and bookmark bar. Simple. Easy.

What does Chrome have over FF?

For me the big thing is that its much simpler.... the top doesn't have anything up there. Less distracting, and more screen. Here, you can see on my screen the difference in FF and Chrome. Its not much, but if you're on a small-ish screen it does make a difference.

But Chrome cannot compete with this:

    Hey mtn:
In FF try the Add-On theme known Classic Compact for a clean smaller header area
