  The track is the Alps track, new for this game. Did a quick race with the Mercury Cougar. LOT of old school muscle cars. Most notable ones I remember are the Hurst 442 and a 70 1/2 Z-28! Like the hardcore settings a lot. Managed to finish 2nd with lots of tail happy throttle application oversteer, but so much better than in previous games. Tire model is pretty good so far. Now off to try the Subaru STi. The 458 is the only other drivable car.

  Three different versions of this track for the three different cars so far. Took my third race to finally win, but the 458 feels kind of an overdog for S class anyways. The ability to steer these cars with the throttle is much improved. Just wish I had a steering wheel to try out. You certainly can't manhandle the cars like the past games and expect to still be fast enough. Bad driving costs you time now.
  

  Seems like the cars can take a bit more of a hit now before doing performance damage. May have to purposely take some aero damage and try a pit stop to see if it fixes it now. Tire damage is thankfully seperate from car damage once again!

  Crap - I'm just at 50% of career in F3. Any sense of changes in how the public lobbies/finding races will work?

  There's no way to see the 'Community' section, which is probably what the online stuff is under. 'Quick Race' and 'Rivals' are the only accessible parts of the demo.

  Boy, if you get into a corner too hot and over-correct, you're going head first into the outside wall!

  Rivals mode has another three versions of the track it looks like. The cars are the Pagani Zonda S, BMW F10 M5, and the 458 again. You can time trial against people on your friends list here. In the Zonda, I just ran a clean 1:50 on my 2nd lap to best my friends dirty 1:55. Supercars really need to be slowed down, otherwise they'll plow straight off. A pleasant change from the super-grip tires of the past games.

  The BMW rivals challenge is a passing challenge. You have to pass a bunch of small Euro hatches with the M5. This might be one of my favorite parts of the game!

  Forza 4 is already pre-ordered. I thought about taking off work for the release date, and now I wish I did, because I have to be out of town on a business trip that week.

  I'm LOVING the amount of yaw I get powering through a fourth gear corner in a muscle car on bias-plys! Just like the old Trans-Am days!

  I got to try the full build at Petit LeMans this weekend (it's nice to have media credentials.)

  OMG. Fantastic!!!!

  More as I catch up with office stuff on this fine Monday, but I can't WAIT to fire up the league with Forza4. The multiplayer features are going to be awesome for our community.

  Not to rub it in, but we just got the full game pre-release in the mail...

  Also, we will have this game (with the Fanatec wheel and a Kinnect set up) AT THE CHALLENGE on Friday night. Yes, you can play.

  Tom, is there a way to look at PM's from a mobile?

  That USB thingy is probably an unlock key for some of the content. Some cars and tracks are locked early on, and they want journalists to have full access to review the game.

  i'm torn... i've got one on pre-order at gamestop... but they where out of the CE... i'm debating on weather it's worth the extra $20 and order from best buy... doh

  Amazon + guaranteed shipping is cheaper than BB and has a cooler exclusive car.
