The ramps weren't properly attached to the truck. Stopping the car on the ramps, then starting it again shot the ramps 50' out the back, and the car fell to the ground. It sucked at the time, but their insurance took care of it so in the end it was mostly ok.

Iaz, i'm curious exactly how you got it out of that position while inflicting the least further damage. My favorite mental image involves simultaneous forward/reverse launches of the moving truck/M3 but i sort of doubt that's how it went down (hah!)

From the link: "It's unclear what caused the ride to fall off the top of the top of that truck."

I believe gravity and stupidity are being sought as possible suspects.

We called a towing company. A guy showed up, and was like "uhhh... I've only been doing this a year, I'm calling in another guy". The whole company (3 other guys) showed up, they decided to jam the tow truck's arm under the back of the vehicle and cram it into the truck, then slide a rollback under the rear wheels and drive it in. Here are some more pics: http://adam.lazur.org/gallery/v/m3/fallen-ramp/ I wish I had video, it was crazy.

I thought so too. It must be because someone owns the Ferrari and by the looks of it someone loves that BMW.

    Agreed.

Well, at least the 956 (962?) has a good departure angle so you're not liable to drag the tail

Seeing one of those on track was the highlight of the Mitty for me last year.
