Woo ticket order has been processed.

I always order my ticket early and lock in my race weekend.

This year it will be different. I am now a VARAC member and plan on helping a friend in the pits.

My job is simple research and learn.

BTW... The vintage racing dream is back in action.

I've been ordered to look at nothing but a Spitfire. Ordered by my wife. She rocks.

    Andre,

Buy the one I showed you on race-cars.com

You cant build one for for that price and have some history to go with it

    I'm a round tail guy... :)

Still yes a nice looking car, but over my currently planned budget.

Andre - Your starting down a very slippery slope. Your going to need a lot of support from friends, family and MOST of all your wife. Here's a great read for her: Fast Women The Legendary Ladies of Racing , by Todd McCarthy. She'll be taking the wheel before no time at all.

This year I have plans to go to Mosport to meet up with my brother. Look for the green 124 Spider if the weather is decent and I will drop in on Andrew.

    Cheers Ron

He is pushing the FIAT cars on me often :)

    In reply to Andre:

I would never push a Fiat on you. I might drive over you but never push it. I hope we can meet up.

Andre - I think we met at the US Vintage Grand Prix at Watkins Glen last September - I race a 63 Spit, BRG w/ Red LeMans stripe, #393. I'm going to race for the first time in Mosport in June - will be coming up with Russ Moore (also entering a 63 Spit) so we'll look for ya there!

    Yeah I was in Bill's TR6 for the re-enactment.

It will be cool too see everyone there.

I will be in the pits learning more this year.

A departure from shooting picts and drinking beer.

Currently working on a deal which might see me racing in 2010.

Andre: I will miss Mosport by one week this year. My brother, Doug, should be there in his green Pininfarina spider. He bought a Freakout-05 show winner that I helped to assemble and made its way from Oklahoma to Ottawa. Cheers Ron

We tried to put a package together to get the FIAT down to the track, but could not do it.

So the GT6 will be there. In all fairness it will be it's last Mosport appearance. Even if I can't go racing in 2010 for some reason I'd bring the FIAT to the track and do the track day for the fun of it.

Nice photos. I see some cars that I recognize...I know a few of my pals were going.

Rained apparently but still looks like a good time. Hope to make it to this event in some future year.

    RAIN...

    God I was soaked...

It did not stop. Hence no real pictures.

Plus I was working on #418.

    Still awesome weekend.

As you can see I was looking at trailers and specially the setup of the blue FIAT.

Took a lot of notes, met a lot of new people now I have less then a year to put it all together and go racing.

Andre - Son and I were there as well - at least for Saturday's rain and the shine of Sunday. We were hanging out under motorhome awnings and canopies in Corner 1 most of Saturday, but were able to venture to Corner 5 for the features Sunday. Good times...and got the 12 year old hooked...

    Get them young.

It was a really good weekend.

I had a nice time as a new VARAC member.

Lots of condolences about becoming a FIAT owner :)
