This video is from the last race of the Labor Day Weekend's event. Heavy rain slowed most of the races the through the first 2 days. The dry track had all the grid ready to drop the pedal hard. The excitement starts as the green drops with the big-bores charging into the Chicane 4 to 5 wide. Arnie Loyning attempts to outbreak the field and sneak his Lotus through on the far inside. He puts 2 wheels off, spins 360, stays on line and actually gains a few spots as he enters the turn and continues the race. Another driver in a white Triumph scatters his motor all over the track and the race ends in a full course black flag after a few more laps.

Up until I watched this video a Studebaker Lark wasn't very high on my desirability list, but it is now !

Ya, I agree this car is very well prepared for vintage racing too. It's a real crowd pleaser offering something different than the usual Stangs & Vetts.

I remember that Lark blowing major chunks and wreaking havoc in Saturday's big-bore race at the Portland Historics last summer -- lots of expensive machinery bent up in that episode before they black flagged the race. But yes, it is very cool.
