Loved that advertisement. My dad flew a Spitfire for the RCAF in WWII and my first street car and later first race car was a Spitfire. There is a special place in my heart for both the airplanes and the cars. Someday I'll pick another Spit - 68 MkIII in BRG just like my first love.

Saturday, Lacey, our TR6 ran 7 hours at Rockingham Speedway, N.C. and finished 12th out of 27 for our best finish to date! Sunday, she also finished 7 hours, running in the top 4 most of the day and finishing 6th!!! We are already preparing for our next ChumpCar race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Tom, We will be at Charlotte after a great weekend at Rockingham! I have never been to a LeMons race but it seems there are less black flags and silliness and more racing at a ChumpCar event from what I have read. I will admit to a couple of spins and off course excursions in my ChumpCar events but never a black flag! Hope to see you in Charlotte and hope you enjoy. Will be interesting to get your take on the different series.

In preparation for the Charlotte event, we discovered a SEVERELY cracked frame at the driver's side front. We are in process of repair and still plan on making the Charlotte race. Always do a nut/bolt/frame check after every event. Never know what you might find!

Haven't posted for awhile and a lot has happened! An unfortunate meeting with a guardrail at Charlotte Motor Speedway caused the demise of Lacey! We spent many hours and Lacey2 arose from the ashes! We just returned from the 24 hour race at VIR and other than some minor brake and wheel problems, Lacey2 ran flawlessly, finishing 20th out of 84 cars and covering more than 1300 racing miles! Next race is the National "Chumpionship" in Iowa. BTW, more photos and stuff on our Facebook page, RiffRAF Racing.

I could maybe get 2.5 tyres for $500.

Respect, but no way I could race a TR6 on such a tight budget.

Welded diffs - I never understood the logic of that (a guy does that in German and does pretty well though). A proper slipper has to be better!

    Welding is er Cheap though.........
