Hey guys,
I have a friend that bought a 92 Miata two years ago,and told me the other day that he is done with it. It just isn't fast enough he says. I said that can be fixed, but he doesn't want to bother. It is a black 92 with tan leather I think. I know the interior is tan,but I forget if it is leather. It has a limited slip rear, power windows,AC which I am unsure if it works or not,a fairly newer top from what I remember, and the body is in okay shape, but not great, and the paint is rough in spots. He changed out the tail lights, and front directionals to aftermarket clear ones I believe. The car runs good, and has 111k miles on it. He has replaced the daisy wheels with some sort of aftermarket alloys in 16" size, and put a ghettorific if you ask me stereo system that takes up what little space is left in the boot. In my opinion he would be better off putting the daisies back on,and taking out the stereo system as they really add little value to it. He told me the drivers side rear spring is broken, but he still drives it like that(I have no idea why),but other than that it is in pretty straight mechanical conditin from what he says. He bought it for $4k a couple of years ago,and wants to get $4500 for it now. I think that is too high, what do you guys think? Prices around here in New England are all over the place, but there is a similarly priced one on CL now that is a 95 with a hard top that I would buy over his just looking at it in pics.
