    Sacrilege!!

At least for some of these guys. Pass it on and buy another AMC.

    Or two.

Then again you've managed to destroy/hate two of the most popular cars on here. Perhaps an automatic Camry is your answer.

I love going to the Pull-a-Part because the dollar admission is cheaper than most car shows and you almost always see cooler cars.

Leave the keys in the center console please. Go ahead and check with your insurance agent prior to Sunday. Thanks.

If the answer is not Miata, then the question is wrong.

How could the answer NOT be Miata? That's like saying bacon isn't delicious, it's a blatant lie.

    Go fast or go broke.

Sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy motherberkeleyer.

I'm surprised no one had asked yet, but what exactly is it about your miata that invokes hate?

If the answer is not Miata, it can only be because you asked what car can out run Chuck Norris.

That's a trick question. Everyone knows that one does not run from Chuck Norris- only that Chuck Norris likes to "play with his food"

$76! I can imagine a world where maita may not be the answer, but that world involves zombies, or perhaps the need for some serious off roading... you can get an AWD E30 right?

    Good! Keep bidding

I should rephrase though. Maybe it's just not my Miata that's the answer. This thing hasn't exactly been reliable and it's starting to grate on me. Since buying it:

    • Clutch kit (x2!!!) including slave, line, and fork on #2
    • Water Pump + Coolant
    • Radiator + Coolant, again
    • Timing Belt +accessories
    • CAS
    • Front hub/balancer/pulley assembly plus crank bolt and key
    • Oil consumption

It's had to be towed home on a flat bad from 3 miles from home. It cost me a day of work and a week of getting rides from the wife when the balancer broke. And now the power steering pump bolt broke and shot forward (the long one that it pivots on).

I just get the feeling that the nickel and diming won't ever stop.

    Anybody want to trade?

Considering I pretty much caused the P71 love, I don't think it qualifies. Plus I sold it to another GRM'er and I still love them.

Sounds like you've got a mountain of deferred maintenance hiding in this car. IME they normally don't nickel and dime you unless the previous owner didn't keep up with the simple maintenance.

I think sir might need a working backup vehicle...

    Sanity is vastly overrated.

I think it might just be that Miata.

I bought a 91 for $1400 and drove it for 5 years, only needing to replace the brakes, slave cylinder, and freshen the suspension.
