  Have you guys gone to www.raceimage.com?

  It's past time for me to buy a racing suit. I've competed enough to make borrowing a bit of a joke. "Hey man, spare a race suit for a poor driver down on his luck?"

  So I started looking for slightly used race gear as I'm on a budget. I stumbled across Race Image.com. It's a place to specializes in selling old NASCAR racing gear like slightly sweated in race suits. I'm looking at suits and see some gear for sale from teams that never really made it or just didn't do all that well. I see some really expensive stuff from guys who did very well in NASCAR. It's all good stuff. SFI rated 3.2/A5. Legal for the all the crap can racing leagues and good enough for track days.

  I'm checking for my size and start noticing the sponsor logos I can get. How funny would it be to rock an AOL Online suit? Or Zaxby's the chicken place that are all up and down 95? I checked the Viagra suits, for obvious comedic reasons, and they're quite expensive. Maybe because they were Mark Martin's logo? I saw one suit that was cheap and it had NWO logo's on it. That is comedy gold Jerry! GOLD!

  They also sell gloves, shoes, helmets, just about anything. Me personally, I'm buying that AOL suit. I wonder if I could find some AOL Disc's to give out at the track when I race. Maybe offer some cyber sex'in lessons. Practice imitating a modem squeal so I can relive my 2400 baud days.

  Pretty cool site. I think when I am ready to pull the trigger on a suit I'll go here instead of a cheap new one.

  I dunno if I'd buy a used suit over the internet, however. I like new stuff when trying to mitigate the effects of fire.

  I picked this one up before "Fap" became an internet term for masturbation. This suit is now known as the handjob suit, apparently lubricated with Mobil1.

  Some people know that Cofap is a shock manufacturer, the joke is lost on them.

  Although most were crew suits, there were a few driver suits mixed in.

  It appears the only driver anywhere close to my size is Elliot Sandler - a lot of those guys are really tiny (at least by my middle aged standards. ) There's a Sandler suit with RAGU on the front that would be kind of neat, but for $500 I think I'll go out and buy my own.

  there were a few... 38/40" waist size (32 - 33 inseam) bought a single ply Wally Dallenbach ($99)

  That's what I thought. I found some new suits that were as cheap but they didn't have nearly the style.

  There are some "big boy" suits on there. I saw one with a waist around 38 to 40. Carl Edwards and Bobby Labonte suits specifically. There is one Carl Edwarts suit with a 44 inch waist.

  I'm a nerd so AOL was hilarious for me! I can think of all sorts of "You've got mail!" sort of jokes to spout when I'm losing at a race. Also keep in mind these suits are sfi 3.2 / A5 rated. That's good enough for Chump Car and Lemons. I'm not sure what the requirement is for other race series. I haven't seen a single layer suit that has those ratings. Then again, maybe I'm not looking upscale enough.

  ..and ol'sweat? Just pick a good driver and hope you absorb some of that talent behind the wheel!
