I've been waiting for the price of a 88 GMC 4dr, long bed, dually to come down. My wife called & it went from $3800 to $2500. I should be back home tomorrow & plan to look at it then.

Here's what I know about it: It has about 90k miles on it. a 454 w/ Auto trans Manuel windows & locks A/C...that works Vinyl interior w/ rubber floor mats It's red

Provided it runs well is $2500 a reasonable price? What should I be warry of?

    Thanks Dave

Besides it being a 1988 GMC 1 ton dually with a 454 that will get 5 mpg unloaded, have no power, an iffy transmission (can a 700R4 live behind that?) and 80's GM quality,?

    Nothing at all!

Rallying; It's like skydiving, except you have to dodge trees on your way down!

This will be on the old style (73-91) chassis. This thing will last forever if you take care of it. It should have TBI fuel injection, the simplest system in the world. Is it a 3 or 4 speed auto? I'm betting 3, most likely a th400. They last forever, just change the fluid and keep it cool. Yes, this thing will be a thirsty beast, but you didn't buy it for fuel economy right?

Old enough to know better, too young too care!
