How well do these engines react to modding? Larger turbo's, moar boostage, etc.?

When you can leave black marks from the exit of one corner to the entry of the next, THEN you have enough horsepower!

    The engines are stout.

The heads only flow to about 330hp before work is needed. Apparently the bottom end is pretty darned tough. Though I've read of people in Europe bending rods around 360hp.

That said, there isn't alot of people doing much with these cars.

I finally got a Maserati Biturbo.

Not really a zombie thread, more like a perpetual one...I will be fascinated to see where and when it ends.

So doing a simple gasket match port job and cleaning up the CC's and a multi-angle valve job is about all you really need for a pretty stout street motor. Pretty cool.

you know, besides trying to get them running or chasing the chickens out of them so they don't turn into chicken coops....

    heh...

Joking aside, it is just sad they aren't as good as they could be. Just like Fiat's of the time, they are so much better than people give them credit for.

Engine didn't make it to the terminal until last night around 6:30PM. It got picked up by the carrier at 07:36 PM. It was less than $200 to ship it, Virginia to San Antonio, TX.

I'm beyond stoked. Megasquirt should be in the mailbox today too.

Should I make my own thread or continue to use this one?

Stick with this one, it's got all the history in it! Like they've been saying, not zombie thread, just a long build one.

Could just be determination. Either way, if I lived in San Antonio, I'd be offering to come help and bring the beer.
