  One of my customers mentioned that his Cayman was a dark brown metallic today. It got me thinking. It has been said before, so, let's say it again.

  "Why are brown Porsche's so sexy?"

  BTW, that Cayman is a color called Macadamia Metallic.

  Why does it work so well though? I mean a brown Camry is no prettier than a white one...

  I dunno, but Porsche is not the only exotic to pull of Brown (though they are the most successful):

  

  (Steve McQueen's Brown Ferrari). Hmmm... Maybe this has more to do with McQueen than the cars.

  That's the first brown 356 that I have ever seen that I can think of. I owned a 60 BRG coupe and a cherry red 61 cabriolet. I've always thought the coupe was sexier. Its one of the few cars which I like the lines of a coupe over a convertible. The Triumph GT6/Spitfire is probably the only other one.

  My Dad's X1/9 was a nice chocolate brown; suited the car very well!

  Also helped disguise the rust spots that appeared a few years later.

  I dunno, I never really cared for brown cars. I figured it was another 70's thing I didn't get. Kinda like Jefferson airship starcruser ect.
