I dunno, but Porsche is not the only exotic to pull of Brown (though they are the most successful):
(Steve McQueen's Brown Ferrari). Hmmm... Maybe this has more to do with McQueen than the cars.

That's the first brown 356 that I have ever seen that I can think of. I owned a 60 BRG coupe and a cherry red 61 cabriolet. I've always thought the coupe was sexier. Its one of the few cars which I like the lines of a coupe over a convertible. The Triumph GT6/Spitfire is probably the only other one.
