But for $9k at a Stealership, I can do better at the auctions in Manheim.

What are your opinions on this car? Good, bad, issues?

The same stuff from the last thread applies. Beware of oiling issues with the 1.8T.

Turbo VW's seem to be very particular about oil and coolant. Skimping on either can have unpleasant results. Unfortuantely, many who buy these cars also get pissy about spending $12/gal for coolant and $7/qt for oil. "That's B.S.... It don't need that..." Yes. It does.

I'd rather take a swift kick in the baby maker by the karate kid, than ever own another A4. Love the 1.8t, but the rest of the car will bleed you dry.

-Beautiful inside and out -Fun to drive, even just to the store and back -Like all VAG products, very sketchy reliability/durability (as mentioned above)

If the first two outweigh the last for you then I say just concentrate on getting one that has been well cared for.

Thanks guys. I talked to my buddy that has a shop and he's afraid of the mileage; things happen at 100k.

I'm looking for an appliance, something with four doors that's dependable as a hammer. I have entertainment cars and sporty cars and motorcycles.

    Civic?

Civics are like roaches you can't kill em unless you slam them into something really hard.

I think you have the right idea when you think wagon,as in Honduh Accord wagon. No wonky German exchange rates for parts . Honda parts are plentiful as cockroaches also.

I think the only USDM Audi wagons i would like enough to bother subjecting myself to would be:

    S4 avant
    RS6 avant
