  I've got this 2000 SAAB on my car lot. It is a 4 cylinder turbo with a 5sp. There is only one code stored in the ecu according to my cheap scan tool. P0502 Vehicle speed sensor A, low input. Where is that, what should I do? Other symptoms include inop speedo/odo, warning light that TCS is off, warning light for ABS system.

  I bet it is the computer for the ABS. I had the same thing happen to my 9-3, I guess the solder joints get weak and crack causing exactly what you are describing.

  The part is the plastic thing on the front of the ABS pump. I got one off of a 900 in the junkyard but you can get them rebuilt here:

  Should not be more than $150 and the car is driveable without the module.
