Ran when parked? I don't think so.

I mentioned this car in another thread last week. Today, I took a ride out there to snap a few pictures. I first saw this car in 1985 and it hasn't moved since. I don't know how long it's been stripped or even if it was complete when I first saw it.

The house has been empty for a long time and I have always suspected that the owner may be spending some time with the state. There was a brand new foreclosure sign posted outside and the house is being auctioned off this weekend. The house isn't much better. There's also a late 80's Cadillac, a Bronko II, and an 81 Z28 there, as well as a bunch of motorcycles, including a Harley. Everything is just a mess.

The Pantera is completely stripped. I found two tail lights, the two front wheels, some rusty suspension stuff, the back window and that's about it. There is a 351 Cleveland in the front yard, next to the Camaro.

It's Challenge friendly, but I think this one is beyond hope.

Nice find. You should send a high-rez photo of the car my way. I know a guy who'd love to put it in Classic Motorsports.

That's a shame. Looks like a really cool property for someone with time on their hands.

Did a little research....looks like the owner, Charles P Romanczak, was a real piece of E36 M3. After reading a little about him I'm glad he lost everything.

    Man, what a waste.

I googled that name and the first hit was for a foreclosure sale in Bethlehem, CT - is this the same property? If so, all those vehicles will be disappearing soon. Sale date is February 20th. https://sso.eservices.jud.ct.gov/foreclosures/Public/PendPostDetailPublic.aspx?Pos...

Animal cruelty. Starving their pets. This was as recent as 2008. Not sure what all happened before that since the property looked all but abandoned since the 80s.

Its not really stealing at this point is it? You are performing a service to the community. Think of the Pantera as one of his neglected pets. It might be beyond saving but... it should die with a little dignity.

High rez photos may be tough, with the white car and the snow. I had trouble getting any rez.

Bonus: Five more inches of snow by morning!

"Mounds of fecal matter, several inches thick, covered every inch of the floor of the residence". What a couple of losers. Don't think I would want to pick that one up in a foreclosure sale.

Yeah, two loose, front magnesium Campys. They're just sitting under there with nothing behind them. It was tempting, if only to make hose racks out of them.

Well berkeley him then. May he rot in jail and then rot in hell. He deserved to lose everything.

Both sad and interesting to see a Pantera in that kind of shape. I agree w/ David--that's primo Ran When Parked material.

    Let it go..

I've seen what happens to the frame on a Pantera when they begin to return to the earth.

    Not good.

You'd be faster keeping the body and building a new chassis.

At the last place I worked at, a customer had a Pantera in for restoration. When the chassis was sandblasted, pieces started falling out.

His car looked better than that one too.
