You didn't provide the option for "neither".

That's the dont vote option

I'm "neither" too, but pretty moot for what I'm interested in.
Looking at the GM twins- the Saturn and Pontiac were roughly 50/50, so it's interesting to see a pretty even split on this car, since it's Toyota v Subaru, even though the cars are closer than the GM twins.
I like the STiish wheels on the BRZ, and hate the wheels on the 86, soooo.
The hot wife thread is my to-do list. Except yours. O-dawg don't do fat chicks.
Whichever one has the lowest weight configuration.
I like the GT-86 but it being a Scion kind of ruins it for me. I think Subaru would be the cool one in America.

A picture posted of each in this thread would probably help.
I am the the Devil (Insurance Adjuster)
Toyota GT-86 (Scion FR-S):
Subaru BRZ:
My forged wheels reduce unsprung weight/I don't know what's heavier, your rims or your date
Oh. They look almost identical. No preference aside that I prefer Subaru over Toyota in general.

The major difference in these pictures is the paint... They even have the same wheels.
I like the exhaust pipes on the Toyota more than the Subaru. It looks a lot more robust/powerful.

THIS. So far the difference between the two is like the difference between a Mitsubishi Eclipse and an Eagle Talon- aside from minor exterior and interior changes, none. That's why I'm not voting and waiting for more details.

I found myself staring at the Toyota pictures. It just looks so good to me. Here is a big different in my eyes-- i tend to see cars as faces, the headlights as eyes and the grill as a mouth. The Toyota has an open frowning grille and the Subaru has a smile. The frown is more aggressive looking.

BRZ. It looks mostly the same, but it doesn't say "Scion" on it and has better-looking fog and headlights......
The wing on the Toyota/Scion is fugly. The rest is close enough that I don't care
The BRZ is a lot more convincing in blue.
Now, the GT300 version...

I don't like the looks of them. Might be fun but I think they are kinda ugly.
Yes they are identical and that's why this is a great question. It really gets in touch with how we as a community feel about these two brands.
Maybe someone else already noticed it, but I think (especially in that picture above) that they look a lot like a Porsche.....
Well, I'd TRUST Subaru much further than I would Toyota.
"mobilito ergo sum" I drive therefore I am!
Will the subarus speedometer read the same 10-12% over that the toyotas undoubtably will?
Otherwise its like comparing a dodge neon to a plymouth neon.

Although the more I look at the Subaru, the less preference I have. Just gimme gimme gimme. These cars have everything that I love about my SVT Focus, and correct everything that I don't like.
Am I the only one thinking "whichever costs less"?
In reply to Raze: Nope!

Supposedly the Toyota (Scion) will have the higher spec cockpit.
Though if you want a navigation screen you'll want the BRZ.
