Yeah... I have M3 on my search list and I've seen that car before. He's been trying to sell it for years... I don't care how well the swap was done, it will never be worth more than an S14 car. Maybe if an M5 V8 had been used...

    Meh . . . +1 on car and LS1 . . . -1 on the execution

Nice job, but with that write up and $40k price? Never.

finally... a BMW I could get into. Not for that price.... but I like it.

That's about 4 times what the car is worth. Almost impossible to read the write up too...

40k? I can think of better combos. hell 40k can buy the whole donor car in perfact running shape on both of them.

Now I'm working for myself and making no money

Agreed. $40k is a lot of scratch for this car.

Why make it slower with the M5 mill? and yes, its overpriced.

He needs to learn better use of hitting the return key. That's one of those auctions I'd be tempted to paste into a word processing program to edit it for readability. The car looks well executed for the most part, but not $40,000 well executed.

    Because it would be cooler.

Although I still wouldn't pay $40K for it.

Actually, what would really be cool is the BMW V10!

Yes but does it still turn like an E30?

Hmm, so does that mean my 951 with an LS1 is worth $35k?

I can tell you that the M5 V8 is a more characterful engine than an LS. More fun to drive, I dare say...

hey you know what would be REALLY cool!? an e30 m3.... with an s14!!!! i usually like lsx swaps, but the e30 is already soooo good

    Huh?

You do realize clean, stockish M3s are getting north of $20k?

The $15k rule...............is no longer enough.

I think I largely agree. I don't see why you'd do it on an M3. I could understand a basic E30 though. But then I'm big into the sleepers.

Depends on your perspective, I guess. I'll stick with the LS. As much power as needed, light weight and at a power-to-value ratio the propeller boys can only dream about.

This. I love those cars-especially in EVO kit.

Yes I realize a clean STOCK E30 M3 is around $20k. That's why this car with an LS swap won't sell for more than $10k.

I suppose if the original S14 was blown or otherwise gone, an LS swap might actually be cheaper. Good S14 rebuilds aren't for the fient of wallet...

    About the write-up:
It idles like a 36 hp VW motor? Really? Are you trying not to sell your car.
    Write-up needs moar commas.

You know you are deep in boost territory when you get tire pressures and boost pressures confused

Are villagers demanding a cheapish box flare kit for the E30 to emulate the look of the M3 on a budget? They should be if not.
