How much would you pay for a '70 Charger rolling chassis with two 383s and a Torqueflite?

I wouldn't pay more than a few thousand but then I remember when $5K got you a VERY nice driver. If there isn't much rust and it has the right options I know some Mopar guys that wouldn't blink at $20k for a basket case. Bottom line is you reeeeally need to know exactly what you're looking at to place a value on a vintage Mopar like that.
I love going to the Pull-a-Part because the dollar admission is cheaper than most car shows and you almost always see cooler cars.

5-10k is realistic for something like that. Imo you could expect to get that out of it

Is it a base Charger, Charger 500 (just a trim package in '70), SE, or an R/T? Are either of the 383s the original one? When you say rolling chassis, how bare of a car are you talking about? How bad is the rust?
Have you ever wanted to drive an orange car with an 01 on the door?

Not sure of the package. It is a Southern car and mostly clean (no rust). I know it is missing the steering box. Not sure about the interior. It is a friends car.

Don't let Dusterbd13 fool you. Swap around some fenders and grill assembly, weld in the '68 tail light panel, and his ID here will be Chargin68.

No rust is a good thing. Steering box isn't a big deal. They interchange with almost all of the RWD Mopars. Some minor differences, but a box from a police package Dippy would be you friend.

Of all the Mopars to play with, the 2nd gen Charger has a good selection of reproduction bits available. Hell, you can almost build a shell from the reproduction parts now. The Duke Boys/Peter Fonda/Bullit made them popular. Even the hero's car in Christine was a '68 Charger. That does help bringing one back to life. Still isn't cheap though.

I thought the hero's car was a 1969, at least in the movie.

Nope, movie had a '68. Courtesy of IMCDB:

I don't recall that car having round tail lights. I believe the were horizontal.

I'm pretty sure it did. They didn't have a tail shot of the car on IMCDB. Sounds like a good excuse for me to watch it again. 93EXCivic should too, for research purposes.
