    my friend is getting a loan and he is wondering what he should get , around or below 10k ,newer than 03,less than 100k miles, awd , rwd prefered , needs a backseat , he has a 240sx as a project car... so this would be his dd but he still wants it to be fun.

    A quick search on Autotrader.com (manual, AWD, <100K, <$10K) turned up a number of choices: Many Subarus of various styles, Audi's aplenty, and a few Jag X-Types.

    Plugging his criteria into Naples, FL autotrader returns either a '03 Mustang V8 convertible or an '03 MB 230c Kompressor hatchback.

    yeh, he wants rx8 or wrx , he's into jap, manual so it narrows a few things for him...

    I used jaxed.com

    There were others under 10K, but I narrowed it down to FL.

    LS2's were considerably higher....but an *LS1 would deifinitely be worthy.

    *EDIT...that is, if he were looking for a GTO.
