  There are a few on eBay today, apparently working with iPod connections. The refurbished price seems to be about $475.00:

  That looks like a pretty decent price for a restored one of that vintage.

  Sanity is vastly overrated.

  The biggest problem I've had with the sound system are the speakers. My son's Spitfire has a pair of mat black speaker boxes strapped behind the roll bar. When the top is down, you don't see them but they still sound good. My wife hates them (mostly their appearance) and has been pestering me to come up with something different for her Spit.

  I had something similar in my GT6 but when it comes back from the body shop, I'm putting in a new carpet and will take the opportunity to hide some wires and put some kind of speakers in the rear valence.

  Any one have a recommendation on good, low profile 5" or 6" round speakers that look period correct?

  I have the factory AM/FM radio in my CVCC. Even has the On/Off switch on the passenger side and the tuning knob on the driver's side. I have a Sirius satellite receiver hardwired into the radio so I can have the luxury of that while retaining the factory look.
