I think I wound up doing more car stuff than planned. The Porsche got a new axle, but while it was on the lift we realized that it has a bum wheel bearing. Also got to watch a good chunk of Le Mans. Today, oddly, I didn't drive anything except my bike and the lawnmower.

Wrestled with the webers on the 914. I think they sat too long during the rebuild and the idle circuit was gunked up on one of them. Took it apart, blew it all out with carb cleaner, put it back and it started flooding like crazy!!
Pulled it out, checked the needle on the float, something was hanging it up. Cleaned it out, proper movement restored. Got dark and couldn't fire her up.
Oh well.
Tomorrow.

Bought a BMW 2.0L M10 engine and 5 speed transmission from an '81 320i. Condition and history unknown. Planning on a 5 speed conversion into the 2002 and tearing the engine down in preparation for a rebuild.

In reply to David S. Wallens:
I did absolutely no car work this weekend, which is rather unusual for me. However, I did finally finish my patio and got a bunch of yard work done, which if you think about it is just like doing car work, as next weekend I'll be working on cars instead of doing yard work! It makes sense to me anyway....

Sunday was a massive work day. Friend showed up and we do a bunch of safety work on the FIAT.
Almost done.

8 Fiat Spiders and one Lancia Fulvia met in Osage Beach MO for our tenth annual MOFLO event. A mighty rain storm on Saturday did not slow us down one bit.
I put 1000 miles on the car.Cheers Ron

Went to put gas in the MGB. Gas gauge started freaking out. Fixed that and went for test drive. Radio stopped playing. Fixed that and went for test drive. Horns stopped working. Fixed that. Afraid to go on test drive.

The humdidity and rain played havoc with many of our Fiats but mostly it was from poor fuse connections. During the storm we stopped for an ignition problem on another car and then two sopping wet-heads got in mine to drive to a parts store. At close to 90 degrees the little car steamed up like a sauna with no A/C and I had to run heat to clear the windshield.

Someone clipped my Miata and dented the left front above the side marker. I am attempting paintless dent removal since their insurance will pay for a new fender so I have nothing to lose. So far I am 95 percent good with a some waviness left. I know experts sort this out with small taps, pushes from the rear and a special barred light source. It may be time for the pro to finish it off since I have the liner removed.
Cheers Ron

What color is the Miata? Mine has a little wave there, but since the car is white it's barely noticeable. The blemish was there when I bought the car.
Yes, we now have signatures.
