  I was actually relieved when the first blemish appeared.

  Still up-keep is important. I'm bad for that. I figure when we move into the new house and I can house both cars the GT6 will get a "re-freshing" and have her interior installed.

  These cars are nothing if we don't drive them.

  Keeping my Fiat as presentable but not a show winner has worked for me. I don't fear to drive it to a grocery store or a car show where I don't expect to win a prize. General maintenance will have me repainting at some time in the near future since last paint was applied over ten years ago. Maybe then I will do some serious detailing and try for show trophy before is gets scuffy. I doubt I would spend more on painting than the value of the car.

  My restored car was a constant worry. Good riddance. Everything I have now is imperfect. I think I've put more miles on my Mini in the couple years I've owned it than on my restored car the last 10 years I owned it.

  I agree. I enjoy my X1/9 so much more now that the paint is not perfect. I enjoy driving my car much more than cleaning it. I do enjoy cleaning it though.
