That's an awesome journey - you just gotta love Isettas!

The longest trip so far for me in my 67 Datsun Roadster is from Squamish, BC to Victoria, maybe 100 miles each way? Cruising on the highway was beautiful, driving through Vancouver during Friday evening rush hour traffic, not so much. Car performed flawlessly though and I am looking forward to taking more trips to more distant locations.

That's an amazing trip for an Isetta. I blew up the engine in mine on I-5 in Seattle doing 55 mph!

A couple of years ago, I bought a 1974 Alfa GTV over the internet from someone in South Carolina. I flew to Charlotte where the owner met me at the airport. We exchanged papers in the airport parking lot. I had not seen the car until that day. I got in the car and headed north. I drove it to Detroit where I spent a few days at the Alfa Convention, then drove it home to Toronto. Other than burning some oil, I had no problems the entire trip. My first drive in a 36 year old car was about 900 miles!

Most recently, my '64 Valiant went 600 miles over 36 hours, to and from the Big Bend Open Road Race where it served as my flag station. No sweat highway running, even ran a while at a legal 80 MPH.

November 1984, 1966 MG Midget, Cape Cod to Denver. Still have the car (again), but it's really unlikely that I'll make that trip again.

2000 miles round trip from Redondo Beach CA to Arcata CA and back in my '72 Datsun 510. 80% of that was 2 lane. We avoided freeways whenever possible.
