  Anybody else into 'fintail' mercedes? I'm talking the W111 6-cylinder sedans, not the sexier, and more expensive W112 coupes.

  There are a TON of them on the road here in Los Angeles, and I've admired them for years.

  Seems like a 230 with fuel injection would be the hot ticket.

  At one point I almost bought one but every one that I looked at had rust in the floor. Maybe it's just one of those things you accept and move on...

  Yeah the Valiant's not going anywhere, but I have a wandering eye for those '60s Merc sedans. One of these days I'll have the cash in hand and just the right car will appear on CL.

  I have 2 pontoons stashed and a couple of older merc for parts in salvage yard will get some piks and post later this week . The one pontoon has the sunroof webasto type , I am thinking rat rod with spikes in holes for chrome trim on side . complete parts car showed up on CL .
