  All of you guys know that we'll be at Daytona for the Rolex this weekend, right? We'll have infield tours, 24-hour slot car racing, project cars and more. Looks I'm even bringing the Mini. If you're going to be at the event, stop by and say hi.

  Everything but the dinner and awards is open to the public. The 24 Hours of Slot Cars is going to be insane, I suspect.

  Slot cars should be cool. It's being run by Greg Walker, our local slot car expert, and Alan Smith, head cheese at slotcarillustrated.com. In other words, we have two of the top slot car guys in the country running it. Both know real cars, too--Greg has raced at Daytona in his IMSA Corvette, and Alan imports and sells Minis. Good times.

  As my first time seeing the Daytona road course in action, I had a blast at this event. The course walk was especially enjoyable.

  Add "Driving on the Daytona road course" to my bucket list, please.
