Anyone else going to Amelia Island this weekend? The selection of cars shown is always amazing. And stop by and say hi.

Volunteering on Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Poster rolling duty so I'll get to hang out with Bobby Rahal for a couple of hours a day! Looking forward to all the happenings! See you there! Scott

I just saw this car is being offered for sale this weekend, and got all tingly:

AMELIA ISLAND, Florida (March 10, 2011) – Calling all Steve McQueen fans! RM Auctions, the world’s largest collector car auction house, will lift the gavel on the iconic 1970 Porsche 911S formerly owned by the “King of Cool” Steve McQueen and featured in his epic Hollywood film Le Mans, when its highly-anticipated Monterey sale returns to California, August 18 – 20, 2011.

Built to the highest 1970 specification, complete with air conditioning and a full complement of factory options, the Slate Grey 911S stars in the film’s legendary opening sequence as McQueen’s character, hotshot Porsche driver, Michael Delaney, drives through the French countryside, reflecting on life, death, and racing.

I dont' get starstruck very often, but to see this car in person is going to be pretty darn cool!

Joe that car is on sale at Monterey not Amelia. :) That being said, what a cool car! I knew about this early and it was such a tough secret to keep. I did keep the secret or Joe would have known two weeks ago. Andy
