I am on my way in the CMS Alfa Romeo 1986 GTV 6 to Monterey from Chicago. Went over the car with Mike Besic at besic Motorsports yesterday and everything looked great. I will keep you posted on the trip. We should get there Monday at the latest. The car is also going to be on display at Concorso Italiano and will even be Judged there. Wish Us luck with that as well.

Good luck with the roadtrip Andy! Who needs a radio when you have that lovely V6 Alfa's siren song!

I just got a text message from Andy. He's in Wyoming. Nebraska is big, he says.

Hello from Nebraska.I think this proves that a 20 plus year old Italian car can be reliable. I am still getting about 32 MPG at around 80-85 MPH average speed with a/c on full. he only issue I have had is that when the car has run for 3-4 hours and I pull off to get gas and such and start it after 10-15 minutes, it tends to start a bit hard. That is pretty normal as the fuel rails tend to get hot when the car sits when hot, basically vapor lock. On to salt Lake City tomorrow and the Bay Area on Monday.

    Love that car.

Been using it as a point of reference while building up my FIAT.
