  I don't know about you, but I am tired of all the coverage of auctions in the magazine. Reading about auctions is boring! "Auction Success Secrets" and "Monterey Auctions" were a waste of time. Show me more on how to keep my car running, racing, or restoration and less on ultra rich guys hording cars!

  I don't think it's got much to do with 'ultra rich guys hoarding cars'; after all, you can get regular cars for reasonable money at auctions, too. Like Andy Reid's Fiat Spider - I believe someone got a really good deal on that one.

  Auctions are an important indicator as to where the classic car market is going, and they also tend to highlight which models are overlooked/forgotten/sniffed at and thus offer a different perspective and potentially a way for the average Joe to afford to buy a car from a make that is usually considered to be out of reach for, well, the average Joe.

  Collecting is an important part of the hobby and like it or not, cars' values do play a role in that too, even if it's just a way to figure out if a car can be restored in a cost effective manner or not.

  So I'd vote to keep the auction pages.

  Sanity is vastly overrated.
