Someone would REALLY want both cars to take the MGB. I want all of the suspension off of it for my MGA, but if someone will do something good with it, they can have it, otherwise it is mine.

I'm sad we couldn't do the MG 5.0, but without Jim's skillz and shop, it just isn't going to happen. Yes, the Honda is a Honduh, but is is a 4WD Wagovan, and it is now going to have boost, so that is fun.

The new car we are building in place of the MG 5.0 is slower, but far more insane!

It's possible I will do that if it doesn't sell quick but the short story is

    a) its a co-owned car so its easier to sell cheap and get everyone what they're owed than debate the division of funds based on my time and effort fixing things (I've already put more hours into prepping it for sale than I'd like)

    b) I've got too many other irons in the fire, if the fender was here it would be a 2-3 hour job, but finding time to go junkyarding for one hasn't happened.

    c) I'd just as soon let it go cheap and quick to get it out of my way. Moving it up to driveway status so I can clean/repair/sell has put a crimp in the space here.

If it sways someone's opinion here then if you buy the car and want me to fix the fender parts plus $200 and I'll have it nice and in primer (or even rattle can white if you want) another $50 and I'll patch the rust in the front fender too (although these things are so ubiquitous it's probably easier just to get another fender)

The MG is really too solid to break up for parts, its an easy build into a nice track rat or a good body for a reshell of a a lesser car.

IF someone wanted to make a track car out of it, they would probably have a parts car. I can still sell the shell when I am done. Really, it is a non titled, partially hacked up shell, that doesn't have any rot in it, but needs a TON of work. Once the MGB bits go into my MGA, the MGA bits go into my mom's MGTF to give her disc brakes.

neighbor is a no-go, as joisey is too far from detroit. so i asked my wife if i could go to joisey to buy a mustang. she hit me with a wet dish-rag, but at least she was in the kitchen. i'm taking that as a no.

    GLWS.

LOL...no problem. I'd prefer to see it go to a GRMer especially since craigslist folks are such flakes but that's a long haul for a not so rare car so I dont blame her.

My wife hit me when I suggested throwing a 100 shot of Nitrous at it and heading down to the Challenge...

If it doesnt go shortly I'm just going to go cut a rear fender off a junkyard car and fix it up. Was in welding mode today on a friends car and kept thinking that if I had the fender here I could have it welded up in an hour or so.

Interested in the mustang, but I'm busy this weekend with school work and heading back to college sunday night. How soon does it need to be out of there?

Not a tragically urgent need to move it, but I don't want to see it with snow on it either :)

The longer it sits here the more work I do to it (can't help myself) so that's good for a buyer in that things will be more sorted, but bad in that the price climbs a bit as it gets better

The MG is out of the picture now so just the Mustang and suspension bits available together or separate, make offers.

The MG was bought so a group of guys could do something fun with it, and that's what it's going to do. I was contacted by a SSgt out at McGuire AFB who works in the wounded warrior transition unit, he was looking for a project car for them to work on in the auto hobby shop on base this winter. I spent many hours in that shop and it speaks to me. McGuire is pretty isolated, not alot to do around there so having something to keep idle hands busy during the winter is just the ticket.

I've petitioned Jay to give them free entry next year and Im trying to talk them into building it for Lemons or at least some local autocross action.

If any MG folk can offer up some bits for them it would probably be appreciated. Once everything is firmed up I'll get a contact for them so you can make offers direct. They are going to need a drivetrain, car is set up for a rotary if anyone has something sitting around.

Be sure to throw the Mustang up on the SSP-specific sites, as well. It looks to be in really good shape for an SSP car!

It's not an SSP car, wish it was then it would be an easy sell :) It sure as heck looks like one, even has the "Police Interceptor" stickers in the window. But the buck tags tell the story and sadly no SSP.

I'm pretty flexible, just need it gone. Make a reasonable offer before I start putting more time and money into it :)

Listed locally at $1500 but that's so when the lowballers come a calling I have lots of wiggle room. So consider that a very high water mark and work down accordingly :)

Would it really be worth the hassle to tow to Fla?

Speaking of the CCWs, things are getting cleared out around here, and theres just a brake job on the wifes VW and a paintjob on the daughters car (optional) standing between me and the start of Wartburg 2.0

It should hopefully go in the shop over the winter.
